Natasha Shalala
Clinical Psychologist
Natasha Shalala is a Clinical Psychologist, and has completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), followed by a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Wollongong. Natasha is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Natasha has experience working with a variety of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, low self-esteem, and self-harm.
Natasha provides a tailored treatment approach when working with clients, in order to work toward their unique goals. Whilst Natasha is passionate about utilising a Schema Therapy framework, she also draws from other evidenced-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Natasha is currently undergoing Individual Schema Therapy Certification.
Sheena Takacs
Clinical Psychologist & Advanced Schema Therapist/Supervisor
Sheena founded Schema Therapy Wollongong to focus on providing Schema Therapy to clients in the Illawarra who have found short-term treatments ineffective or want to address their enduring and self-defeating patterns.
Sheena has completed a Masters of Clinical Psychology after finishing a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) through the University of Wollongong.
Sheena has had over 10 years of experience working with a wide range of mental health issues. She specialises in working with personality disorders, emotion dysregulation, chronic anxiety or long-term mood disturbance, low self-esteem, interpersonal problems, in addition to a range of other issues. Sheena particularly enjoys working with other mental health professionals seeking their own therapy.
She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, is a member of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists as well as a board approved supervisor. Sheena is also a member of the International Society for Schema Therapy.
